I am finding it very disturbing/sad  to read about the setbacks that happened to Florry. Especially leaving behind the child and pets she came to love....also being so close to starvation so many times. Such a different life than we lead. I guess you don't miss what you have never known!

Friends, I am only halfway through Jacob's Ladder.  I've got to pick up the pace to be ready by Friday.

Wondering at this point:  did MKR try cooter and possum in order to write about how delicious they were?  I'm not sure I could do that for art!
